Refreshing a classic brand with a clearer design system

Development of the Brandbook for the Centenary - and Brazilian to the bone - brand Guaraná Antártica, part of Ambev’s soft drinks portfolio.


The goal of this project was to refine Guaraná’s visual identity to match its new strategy — Give More Flavor to Brazilians — while aligning with global brand standards and staying true to its local roots.

My role was to create the new brand guidelines that covered the full system. That included adjusting and unifying the color palette, recommending new typography and how it should be used, setting rules for photography and packaging, and exploring new ways to apply the brand symbol. The updated system helped extend the identity into digital, campaigns, social, and live experiences, bringing more consistency and creative flexibility to a well-loved Brazilian brand.
